I think 30" wide tires looks good, but you don't need to go wide, and some 15x8 Mickey Thomson Classis II or a look alike(procomp 1067, AE alloys 186).

Reason: Can't spell.
im running 255/70r15 on7inch centerline draglites up front and 295/60r15 on 10 inch centerline draglites on the back ,im not sure on the backspacing, theseare on my 79 f100 shortbox.they dont rub at all on calipers ,radius arms ,etc.-billy
take a look at the American racing rock crawlers on my 76 F-150 (link below) they are 5x5.5 - 15x12.50 with 255/70-15 tires...they actually came off a 97 Geo Tracker...i love how deep they are, and they make my old truck stand out when she is all cleaned up....sorry, im not sure of the backspacing, but most "deep dish" 15 inch wheels fit with no problem, unless you have bigger than stock brakes.....
thanks for the help guys I went and priced some wheels for my truck and the one wheels that I liked they said that I would have to get 17's to get them to fit on my truck and they were 175 bucks a wheel then i had them price some others and they would be about 110 a wheel. so I might keep looking. and maybe see if I can find some used wheels that are still in good shape and not bent or rusting or anything like that.

Reason: spelling
First I have to say that the 5x5.5" is correct for your truck. There is a 5x4.5" that is used on Mustangs, Torinos, early Explorers and even up onto the 97 Mountaineers. Those 4x5.5 were interchangeable with a lot of other patterns. Now I speak from experience the Mustang rims will fit a lot of Mopars, and even some oldsmobile. Second the 3.5 back spacing will work, but it depends on what look you want. Being a 2wd you might want the rear to have a little wider stance with the same wheels so you could just put a little wider offset. Remember this changes the abilty to use the rims elsewhere. I can personally tell you that with street tires on 10" wide rims your traction will stink. You will need at least an 11.5" wide tire. Prferably 12-14" wide for a 10" rim. I'm terribly practical so I would buy 4 10-11"tires and 4 8" rims that were all the same with 3.5"-4" back spacing. It's simple, allows for normal rotation of the tires, and last if you need to sell them they will be more appealing to a buyer if all 4 are the same.
