so i know this girl. her boyfriend is a total loser, and she wanted to see what its like to have a real man for a weekend. took her four wheeling, shooting guns, and what-not.
he finds out, they break up. now, from an unknown source, me and her, and a ton of people from my area / high school are getting harrassing emails about it.
its a yahoo address, and everytime he emails us it says a name behind the adress. well, problem is the name behind the adress doesnt ring a bell to anyone, and the profile has no pictures.
hes ( or she ) is threatening to leak information about stuff. so be it, nothing i cant brush off, but its just time to figure out who it is to turn the tables here., this has been going on for 6 weeks.
does anyone have any way to figure out who this email adress belongs to?
and if neccisary, email me in private, this screen name @aol.com
Yahoo and others will not realease info except under a court order. I went through this with someone threatning my girlfriend and making ugly remarks and I contacted Yahoo.
Only if I went to court and got an order would they release who was behind the screen name.
They slipped up and exposed their name to a mutual friend so we found out who it was.
Needless to say, they stopped sending emails.
Print the Emails, take them to the police, make a police report, follow up with an appointment to the States Attorneys office, and take the Printed Emails with you. Be discrete about what you are doing or you could ruin any case you have. In other words don't go off bragging your going to put the perp. in jail. If you can get others to do the same thing, persue it. Just went thru this, threats by mail or by electronic means is a Felony in my state. You have to push the authorities into doing something, no Prime Time TV program here were 15 people just jump on the case.
Have yall tried just blocking the address? My mom was telling me about this group of people who just pick random people to send harrassing emails to,even if they don't know them. The whole group sends tons of e-mails,like 200 a day and then when the person reciving those e-mails starts to feel down after some time, they send sites on how to kill yourself. One girl, sadly believe what she read and killed herself.
