I hunt deer, squirrels, ducks.....when we still had them lol, turkey, and doves.
I want to respect other peoples opinions when I say this, BUT last year our state government wanted us to vote on if hunting should still be legal, I cant believe that its come down to this, Louisiana has been a "Hunters Paradise" for many many years now, ITS EVEN OUR STATE SLOGAN and I just couldnt belive the turnout on this vote, ITS still legal and didnt pass but IT WAS SPLIT 60 for and 40 against. IMO i cant believe whats happening to this country, to me a kid that has something to learn from like hunting or fishing sure beats playing video games or playing in the streets.
When I was younger and lived in Michigan I hunted small game. Now I live in Montana and primarily hunt Deer and Elk. I am fortunate to be able to hunt with my boys and with my grandchildren. What a thrill to teach them how to stalk game, and properly care for it. The joy of hunting is in the hunt, after the trigger is pulled the work begins. This seperates the wanna bees from the true hunters. One of the greatest gifts we can give to future generations is to teach them the joy and the responsibility of being a true hunter, fishermen and sportsman.
I hunt Deer, squirrel, rabbit, and turkey in central and western Indiana. Squirrel season opened today, so we hit the woods at about 5 this morning, and killed a couple.
