I know a 95 B3000 2wd 5spd man ext cab with 1/2 fuel is 3440lbs on a feed store scale I wieghed mom's truck. it should be no more than 150lbs heavier because of the slush pump
My freind has the same truck as you (2003 edge 3.0 2wd, ex cab 2 door auto) and in california it has the vehicles weight listed on the registration because that how they determine how much the DMV rips you off every year out here. His Reg. says his truck is 3600 pounds. My truck is a 2wd xlt ex cab 2 door, with a 3.0 and a manual trans and it weighs 3226. The difference in weight is the automatic trans is heavier, and the 4x4 torsion bar suspension platform the edge is on is heavier.
I like the truck but its a bit small for my wants. I should have bought a 150 at the very least and now I'm thinking 250 would be better still so that I'll have an extra safety margin for loading a poptop camper on it.
The powerstroke 6.0L diesel sounds like it might be worth the extra bucks up front for the benits later on. I'm new to this truck business so feel free to share your opinions.
