My 2016 F350 diesel CCSB Lariat was 8,300 lbs with a 50 gallon Titan tank 3/4 full and no people or cargo in the cab or bed. My Ford shipping tag said 7,400 lbs - a little too optimistic.

I agree it's a little optimistic, but they ship them Dry weight...
The truck in my sig according to the scale with me and my kid in it was 8100. 7750 without "people". A little less if I remove the bed cover, bed mat, bed extender, floor mats. (I put them on top of the carpet floor mats). And some tools... Maybe 200 pounds? Put's me close to that 7400... Considering I had a full tank of fuel and DEF tank.. (38 and 5 gals, respectively) I assume they ship with oil in the crankcase... if not there is a little more weight.
Best thing is to always weigh your rig as things vary... and of course what you stow in yours makes a difference too.
At least it's closer than some RV weights I see on their placards...
My '13 Dually 4x4 with 2 adults and full of fuel, ready for a trip to Wisconsin weighs 9660. Of course mine has extra wheels and a long box and my big butt in it, but the point is like Dak asked, what does the CAT scale say?
