More work than I was led to believe, but at least you were able to make it all work! Woth those plastic liners, the rear gap may not be a big deal other than cosmetic... I'll have to look and see what the normal gap is.

I took a look at the trucks here, that 69 has rubber belting to fill that gap, and the 77 has the gap you mention. it was 1 1/2" at the top, then narrowed down a little, then back to the gap towards the bottom.

yeah i looked at another truck as saw it was a rubber thingy between the firewall and fenders , now i gotta go find one. I havent put the plastic liners in yet. i was in a hurry and had to get done. i gonna put them in this weekend though

Thought I would let you know that when you are ready, I have the carb to go with the manifold, proper Holley for a 390 Ford with Automatic linkage kickdown.... just will need the needle sets.

a 4 barrel set up ? i need that now lol. i can priobley get down there next weekend to grab that. i probley drive the escort down cause the truck drank too much the last time. i will let you know if i can for sure later this week

At least it will fit in the car... Come to find out, the carb was here the whole time, just had forgotten where it was...

i will defintly be down there to get it saturday if not sooner, i will try and get that kahoka load sometime this week, maybe you could meet me in town. give me your landline number so i can call you and let you know for sure. I got races to go to saturday afternioon up here so i will be down in the morning again when i come down. i will see if i can bring you more cash too on what i already owe you, this week the mortage is due so we will see.
