I can't believe the number of the check cashing, fast cash or auto title loan places that are here in the town I live close too. Somehow they are all still open for business.

My point was that advertising is NOT done merely to generate business when things are slow. It is done to be the best in the business (Wal-Mart and McD's), or to show new products services (Ford/GM/Saturn). These businesses thrive on ignorance and an "I want it NOW" philosophy. Greed run amok. Once they get you in, they really sink their hooks deeply. It's a very hard cycle to break.

I don't recall a post in which I said that advertising was ONLY done when things are slow.

Go back and review my posts and tell me which one I stated that in. I'll go back and review and admit if it's true.

I'm not arguing this further.

If they did such a booming business...they wouldn't need to spend so much on advertising...that's why you see empty places and hear MUCH advertising.

Do I need to explain my misunderstanding of your post any further? I already said we can stop splitting hairs. This is the least intelligent of arguments at this point. Please accept my most humble apologies, sir.

No apologies necessary...you clearly misunderstood my post.

Let's just drop it...

Cool. I like it when one of my threads gets good conversation going. It tells me that people have at least a little interest in my thoughts. Glad that everyone (at least in this forum) feels the same way about these leeches as I do. Hope that something that was said here will help somebody to search for an alternative other than giving your money to a scumbag outfit.
