Josh,

I don't think that bed came with the truck originally. I think his build is cobbled up. The truck looks to be an F5 or F6 with an F1 bed next to it.

Josh - last I knew it was still for sale. The thing is a mix of pieces. F-1s would have normal F-1 front fenders.

Interesting, I heard from Mark Mossell yesterday that he's learned of two '53 Rangers. We'd known of none before. Here's one he's added to his Hub Garage archive. Stu

Thats a pretty nice Ranger, the wheels don't do it for me but still very nice. I would have to say that the 51 52 Rangers are the baddest looking rigs around though.

Everytime one my kids picks kermit the frogs "swamp years" movie to watch I'm all attention for the red 51/52 f-1 truck in it.
Also I think its Superman? movie that has a 52? tan color Ranger in it

Seth,
I'll check my email.

thanks

Josh

Tan Ranger in the Superman movie? I've not seen the movie, but know that this '51 F-3 European ambulance/civil defense truck was in the movie. Is this the one you mean? Stu

LOL I should have known you would have pictures of it. those look like screen shots from the movie. Im pretty sure it was superman? the newer re make? it is only shown briefly so its hard to get a good look at it though.
thanks for posting the pictures

here's a rather odd picture I found while just searching for other images, are those the desirable milk truck wheels ?? almost looks like them?? but way way WAY too big for any trucks I've ever seen!!! lol

Pretty sure the site I pulled the pics from said it was Superman II.

I think you're right that those are the milk truck wheels. The hub cap clips say it's a Chevy/GMC. They really look odd on an F-1, way too big. But I'd love to have a set. Here's an old pic of a Campbell woodie with them. Stu
