Fresh Blood, newbie here :)

First off, I'm absolutely enthralled to find a forum with enthusiasts for these trucks. I've always been a huge fan of the body style at all the rod runs and car shows growing up, and it's going to be great spending weekends with my parents again.

This week, or probably 2nd week in July, I should go pickup my 54 Ford f250. She needs some TLC, but the cab forward is good on it and that's really all I want. Price is right too at $500. Going to be a father/son project, and one that I finally get to show my pops some tricks on this one. We're a family of gearheads, but we all went different directions with my father building quite a few amazing street rods (23 Ford T-bucket, 23 Ford C-cab, 31 Model A, 37 Ford Phaeton which actually made centerfold in Street Rodder! and now he has a 32 Coupe), a brother into mini-trucks, and I was always into spiced up sport compacts (not your old accord with a fart can muffler, but real heavily modified performance compacts, 380whp Dodge Avenger, 546whp Dodge SRT-4).

I've also been quite happy to see a large mix of people on here, from traditional to hot rod, so hopefully I won't be too shunned for what I'm about to do to an old Ford pickup . Some of you may have a clue as to the user name.

Either way, I'm at least going to be bugging some people with questions on the best way to tackle some projects as we get going... like what has been found to line up/fit the best and things like that. Most of it will be hand fabricated parts and lots of customization, but I'm really excited to try and bring 2 styles and cultures culminating into one project vehicle.

Welcome to FTE. Sounds like we might be the ones asking you questions.
Be sure to post pictures of your build.

We will support pretty much everything you want to do with your truck, as long as it's something I like.

Heh, that's actually the result of using a crappy cell phone camera when we sat it down to look at the wheels on it. The coupe is actually a very bright tangerine orange with gold pearl all throughout it. We've also had a band of flames put down the side of it as well too since then.

I'll get some good pics of the coupe once I get the 54 down from PA and we get it into the garage. Right now it's kind of crowded in there with the bass boat too so I can't get around it too much.

Welcome. Nice work, but I would install a surveillance camera in your garage to catch the vandal that tied your header pipe into a knot. Jag
