1951 FORD 4x4 F6 Marmon-Herrington

Well, looks like I finally joined the Marmon Herrington club.

Couldn't pass it up. It had three things working for it, that I always wanted to own.
1) 1948-1952 series Ford truck
2) Flathead V8
3) Marmon-Herrington conversion

It starts right up and runs & drives great. There is virtually zero rust. Pretty much stock condition yet (for the most part)

Yes, it was on there for a month maybe. It was local, but I couldn't justify buying another truck/car to add to the pile, as I'm already bursting at the seams. I never even went and looked at it. I was over visiting at Rod Kruithoff (huge 48-52 + Marmon-Herrington guy) and he said if I bought it, I wouldn't loose money on it, if I ever decided to sell it. That's all I needed to know.... So I called the guy, and it turns out that I knew him. Stopped out and looked it over, got cut a really good deal, and drove it home.

Single it out in the back and a (48-79) stepside bed. More than likely 60-70's vintage as they're more common and don't fetch the big money as the 48-52 boxes demand.

Guess I'm a little late to the welcoming party. So add my welcome to the M-H group. Great to have another one being saved, and one in such fine condition at that. I'd appreciate seeing more of the undercarriage, and the PTO set up driving the winch. Is it a transmission mounted PTO, or one of the rare transfer case PTOs?

Winch PTO is transmission driven. If you need pictures of anything specific under the truck (drivetrain/undercarriage), I currently have the truck up on the hoist. Easy to get pictures from the under side.

Welcome to the club!
My F5 was missing the T-case PTO as well, but have one for the tranny.
Pictures would be appreciated of the PTO setup (especially the shifter linkage, as I'm going to have to fab mine).
Wish mine still had the winch too (saved the cutout lower valence for when I do get one eventually).
Very nice score.

That is a cool truck man. I like the rugged Tire tread in the back too!

You can never take or post too many pictures for us. I would be interested in seeing the undercarriage as well.
