P0743 code TCC solenoid failure
I own a 98 XL 4.2l. Check engine light was on and Torque Converter was locking. Took truck to a couple of tranny shops in St. Louis who suggeted total rebulid. After veiwing FTE forum found out about took truck to Autozone to check codes got a P0743. Had TCC solenoid changed now truck runs fine (for over 2 mos).
