Thanks to all who posted; I found my keyless entry code.
After removing the Garbage hook and peering in with a flashlight I still couldn't see the code. I then removed my cupholder above the hook. 4 screws; two obvious two from bottom up. Then with my flshlight and pushing aside a bundle of wires or hoses, I was able to read the nice large print code. Thought I'd share taking out the cupholder mechanism because it makes it much easier.
Great info I found mine in my '04 King Ranch F250 straight behind the cubby for the brake controler. The only way to see it was to remove the garbage hook, ash tray and then use a long screwdriver to hold the insulation under the das out of the way so I could actually see the box and once I saw the box the number was easy.
With this discussion on keyless entry codes, I hate to ask, but didn't anyone reprogram their code to an easy to remember one? I have the keyless entry on my '06 and reprogrammed the code to one I could remember and put the factory/original in a safe place. It's a default, so I can use it also should I "forget" my 'easy to remember one. Just a thought.....

Ya, you can attack me at will also....
I can see what you are getting at, but in my case I bought my X used from a small dealer who grabbed it at auction. He nor I have any idea what the code is.
Does the "garbage hook" actually serve a purpose? I'd thought about installing a CB radio, and hanging the mic on there ... is it really designed for a garbage bag?
I must be missing something, I have a 2002 X and I took the garbage hook off. even took the drink tray. Found the computer box with the bar code and all. found the numbers and in large print the 5 code. I was excited as I locked the car and closed the door. The CODE did not work. Am I missing something?
Although I still havent taken the trash hook out to get my own code, I have figured a few things out. you have to enter your 5 digit code and then push more buttons to do different things, here is the location of the programming article.
