where i work, you pull out into 50mph traffic from a standing start.. but everyone does 60... earlier this week i was pulling out to go to the store up the street.. i pulled out in front of a gas powered F250 and was pulling away from him within a few hundred yards.. he pulled into the store behind me and was shocked when he saw the psd sticker on my mule..."that thing's a diesel..?" i just grinned and said "yes it is..!" people just don't think these things can move the way they do..!

Good question, really wasn't paying attention, but didn't sound at all like it was straining.
I'll take it out tomorrow and check...hehe.
I may have been running the data logger, not sure, have to pull the reports.
Boost was about 12-14 lbs. Nice straight and flat.
I've got 70K miles on my PSD and this is the way I have driven it since 20K miles. Never missed a beat and no issues.

Sounds like the 6.0 boys are getting a little defensive, or is that fear that I smell? LOL, good fight till the end, cubic inches versus technological leaps... Anyone care to place a bet? All is good that is done in fun!

The intent of my post was that while I was testing my new chip, I ran upon a stock 6.0 and we had a "skirmish". I realized and acknowledged it was stock. Hell, it could have been a gasser or a chebby duratampax, etc. and I would have still posted.

I didn't and don't claim that I could outrun any or every 6.0 out there. Jeesh lighten up!

And, I have been "over there" and other Forums and I wouldn't want one of those things up my A_ _ if I had enough room for 10 of them. They may run well but they are keeping the Ford service department busy.

Uhh yeah... sometimes . All kidding aside, if u kept up with a 6oh he was stock or else you are modded up pretty good. With the pwr im putting out right now i still have the occasional 6 liter sqeaking out a win against me at the track. IMO the 6oh's are junk but they run very well when tuned up, if they can keep from spitting the head gasket.

Duratampax!!! Thats the best one I have heard yet!
My '96 hauls **** when I give 'er. The torque curve on these 7.3's are extremely flat, and stay that way for a long time, so the seat of the pants feeling is awesome.

Needless to say, after about 40 miles of running with the 6.0 and my speedo at "zero", the 6.0 faded.

I was surprised because with my older chip it seemed to max out at a little over the century mark while the DP tune still had about 20 mph left in it.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Tell us more about the chip. I have a Banks Otto Mind 85 HP chip that won't even break the tires loose and have been looking at multi-position chips from different places. Do you have a link to the place you bought yours?

Thanks

I love a good debate for fun... I wasn't saying I could beat modded 6.0's, but I haven't found a stock one that can beat me yet and my tranny is on the way out. It's just funny to see the look on a guys face that just spenk 45K on a truck and he get's smoked by a '97 work truck that has had the hell beat out of it. Everyone has the right to be proud of their ride, and I'm definitely proud of mine! I personally believe the 7.3 is a much better engine and it's going to take a lot to convince me otherwise...
