im from minnesota, and yes its full of rust. i will be getting a body from arizona that is complete. i am also getting a full body and not as much body work for a fair price. the cost is around a thousand bucks, and has a title.
I used my engine hoist to change the cab on the F250. It *should* work for you. Just make sure to find the center of gravity first before you lift it too high.
I took the body off my 84 bronco(which is the same as yours only a different front clip) and it surprised me how heavy it is. I started by using pedestall hand hoists however I didnt like how unstable it was. I work construction for a living so i loaded the bronco up and took it to the company yard and used a 950 loader to lift the body off. This may not be possible for most people however a sturdy "A" frame will do just fine but like Brokebronco said center of gravity is key. Its not a difficult project however dont underestimate the bodies weight. one more thing lable all wire connections.....cody
thanks for the advice. i am not exactly sure yet what i will do when that moment comes, but my brother has done this sort of stuff before whith pick up cabs. mike
