Unfortunately there's no real easy way to test the MAP sensor without specialized equipment, other than simply replacing it with a known good one. A couple of quick things to check: the ground wire from the MAP sensor and the vacuum hose that runs between the manifold and the MAP. Make sure it's connected, not split or plugged anywhere.
