A front wheel drive world?
The only front wheel drive car that I ever drove that I liked was a Taurus. When I worked at the repair shop I got to drive a lot of cars and that was the only one that I could throw into gear and it would pull itself straight up the steep driveway through the snow, into the bay and onto the hoist, only on idle power. I don't know what it was but whenever I got to drive one of those cars they were always excellent for that.

Last winter we had about 15 to 20 inches of snow on the ground here in the Detroit MI area. I saw a Dodge Caravan front wheel drive that couldn't pull itself up the driveway, and it wasn't very steep. It just kept trying and sliding sideways. Finally I pushed and it got up. I also saw several SUVs (which many suppose to be four wheel drive) stuck because they slid and poked a front wheel into a snowbank. Then all they would do is spin their tires. With true four wheel drive (all locking differentials) they probably would have gotten out.
