Hello, i was wondering if hte make a front reciever hitch for and '05 f-250 6.0 4x4. Any info would be appretiated. wear to bye and how much. I see that different people say htey make them, just never been able ot order one. Thanks
I dont think they make them per se as in go to the store and get one, I think you will need to find a hitch shop and then have them fabricate one for ya. A guy I knew had to do that and my brother wanted to be able to mount a portable winch to the front, we ended up buying one of those small receivers that mount to a bumper and then he was gonna remove the tow hook from one side and then bolt the receiver in place up front. He never did, was able to back up to the elk he shot and load in the back without the use of the winch.
I have one I bought it from www.etrailer.com. they carry both Hidden Hitch and Drawtite. Hidden hitch is P/n 5010 for 126.15 Drawtite P/n 65022 for 126.45 easy install, If you have the fog lights though the lights need to be removed.
I have the Drawtite on mine. You can keep the fogs if you shim the bumper out about a inch. E-mail me if you want some pics. I'll get the part # if you want it. Not sure if it's the same as stated above. I have a custom fabbed plate carrier in mine right now awaiting the time to use the winch...which I hope is never...at least for me. I also have custom made connectors for the winch and booster cables. Let me know. Good luck with your project.
