78 crew cab
I am looking at buying 78 crew cab..
I have not looked at it yet. The guy states that it has a 460 and a 4spd.
Has square headlights. NP-435? Dana 60? Is the 460 possible in the 78? Our the square headlights possible in the 78?
fair shape, 79k miles used condition(like it was worked as a truck), no visible major rust, 4k? Does that sound fair

If its a 4X4 the 460 isnt original.Most likely a dana 60 rear.Check the roof and drip rails.They like to rust out on the crews,also the front cab mounts.Keep in mind that if the cab,rear doors,frame,interior need work-thats all big bucks on a crew cab since they are harder to find.Rear door panels are next to impossible to find.Basically if its in solid shape and is all there its most likely worth about $4k IF ITS A 4X4.If its a 2wd -I think thats way too much unless its in very good shape.Take a look at it and post a good description of it.Thats the best way to get a more accurate idea of the value.

78 crew cab
when I was searching for a good cab for mine <I noticed the floor on the drivers side was rusty and very week on most.also look along the floor at the corner of the pass side door found most had rust there (told that inside corner is hard to fix)besides the usuall places.
