Steering columns

After an eventfull weekend rolling my truck, I now need a new steerng column. Is there a tilt setup that will adapt easily into my 76 F100?

YUP - as far as I know 73-79's are all the same - but I think 2WD to 4WD have to be modified. Right Guys?

I replaced my tilt column in my 79 F-250 2wd. The old tilt didn't have cruise. The new one did. After that, the horn button would short out the headlights. Fun, huh? You could probably re-arrange the wiring to avoid this but I thought you'd want to know about it.

a 2wd tilt column will bolt right into a 4wd. And any 2wd straight column will work in a 4wd if you change the center shaft. good luck

i belive the tilt was only in the 78/79 trucks.... my 79 has it, my 78 doesn't... thank god... personally i hate the tilt column.

I believe the neutral safty switch is in the column 73-76 and in the tranny from 77-79? not positive but was told that from ford guy when I found a tilt cruise unit for mine out of a 79 bronco.
