Bed Question

I just bought a '72 Short Bed truck. I've always had 61-63s, still do.
Are rust free beds hard to find for the '72? I haven't seen any for sale anywhere. The one on my '72 isn't too bad, it's a Texas truck, but I'd like to get a cleaner one.

If yours doesn't have any rust through spots, that's about as good as they get for original. The short beds are pretty hard to find, also.

I'm looking at rebuilding my 72 Long bed(needs header replaced and front cross member) as I cannot find any localy in better shape than mine, or any at all. $1000+ for a bed to be shipped is out for me.

In NH, 67-72s are certainly hard to come by, "any at all" is probably accurate. If you really wanted one, I would get a trailer and come down to GA to pick one up from www.pullapart.com. Sometimes the beds are pretty dented, but, you can usually find longbeds in good condition on the outside and little rust.
