Hey I have a '94 F150 5.0L. I'm trying to replace the fuel filter, but first I need to depressurize the system. The book says the best way to do that is by flipping the inertia switch which it says is located behind the brake pedal. I looked and there were two harnesses that were not inertia switches. Is there any other place this could be, or is there an easier way to depressurize the system? thanks. -Bryan
Should be a shrader valve on the fuel rain like a tire filler valve. Can depressurize it there. Put a rag over it so you don't get sprayed with any fuel.
in the 94 the inertia switch is in the passengers kick panel just infront of the passnegers door.

right under the glove box. I just replaced mine and had the same diffuculties. Good luck and watch your eyes!!
Oh, and one more thing on my 96 the fuel filter is in the darndest location (right on the frame, just behind the front gas tank) so be prepared to loosen a few extra bolts on the skid plate protecting this fuel tank. I am working on a replacement kit for this, as to extend the fuel line and have easier access to the filter. When complete I will try to post all material and steps.
I got it...cut my hands up pretty good squeezing into that little space. The gas feels good in the eyes. But my truck is running much better now. Thanks for the help...I used the schroeder valve.
