Help! I am going to replace my 2.5L engine. following the steps in the shop manual but it says have a shop remove the compressor. Edited out by Admin I already have the radiator out and half the topside disconected. I know there is no pressure in the a/c system (plan to have that fixed 2nd). Does anyone know a trick for moving the a/c compressor out of the way for my engine replacement that does not involve me taking it to a shop??

If the refrigerant has already leaked out or has been recovered, then there is no need to take the truck to a shop to remove the A/C compressor. You can do it yourself, it involves takign off the accessory belt, unplugging the electrical connector and unbolting the compressor from the bracket.
Thanks for the input, my question then is how to disconnect at least one a/c line so I can move the compressor. one line goes across the engine and has a special clip, this looks like the easiest place to disconnect, then I can swing the compressor out of the way.
