yeah, someties i get dizzy...been happenin for years and i'm 21 now. 6-6'1 ish and 170 wearin jeans n work boots...just take it easy and get up slower. givin blood is a royal pain, i come right close to passing out every time. did once. donating doesn't bother me, its just the lack of blood afterwards...

oh yeah, quit standin under falling things, that would fix some of your problems....

Happens to me once in a while, especially when I get up out of a hot bath or hot tub. Call 'em "bed-spins." I've got normal blood pressure, skinny 6'5".

Seems to be a trend here. I am almost 24 and am 6'4". It used to happen to me all the time. Not so much anymore. Once in a while but I have got up really fast and then had to sit right back down again.

I wouldn't worry about it. If it is still there (as bad as it is now) in 5 years then get it checked. IMHO of course.

I've had problems with standing suddenly. Passed out a couple of times and bonked my head on the way down. Dr told me it was LOW blood pressure, which makes sense to me. Also told me to keep off caffeine and Asprin while I was stressed.

Now I stand up slower and it hasn't happened again. Not sure if I'm smarter or if I'm "cured" or what.

BTW, I was also fairly tall, and that happened while I was a teen.
can't hurt to see your Dr. You don't want to mess around.

I think it could be low blood pressure. I once passed out and cut my head open. I did everything wrong that day. Had a glass of wine, got into a hot tub, have naturally low blood pressure, 5'11 height 145 lbs (low blood volume) and the final straw that broke my head, going to take a leak. As I was taking a leak, I passed out and smashed my head into towel rack behind the toilet. who knows how long I was really out, but my girlfriend came in looking for me because I didn't come back out and found me bleeding and my arm in the toilet. Doctor said I have naturally low blood pressure and volume because I'm kinda skinny, drinking alcohol relaxes your blood vessels lowering pressure further, and hot water also relaxes blood vessels to try to cool your body, and taking a leak lowered blood volume just enough to cause me to pass out. Nice story eh?

yeah, about the only good thing about being skinny, doesn't take much to make me feel good when enjoying a few adult drinks. me and the girlfriend are both "lightweights"... of course, i'm 10 inches taller and she's 70 pounds lighter (we're both 'slender/skinny') *shrug* its all good though.

LOL Crash, probably some truth to that. That combined with the fact that as you get older, you don't have the free time to lay on your couch all weekend watching the boob tube...

The blurred vision is indicative of possible pressure on one on the optic nerves. I would not put off getting a doc to look at you. The problem with docs nowadays is getting them to really LISTEN to what the patient is telling them about their problem. So , before seeing one, have it ready in your head already memorized just exactly what is happening to you, how often, and what you are doing when the spells occur. More info the better. On the dark side, it may diagnose out as low BP , high BP, blood disorder, blood clot from the wallops on the head, benign brain tumor or brain cancer. On the lighter side , it could just be sleep deprivation, , being undersexed or not enough Jack Daniels in the blood. jmo
