I haven't really measured mine but it "eyeball" looks like 3/16" (0.187). Steel of that thickness is usually not expressed in gauge sizes. FYI 7 gauge is 0.179" thick and is the thickest "sheet metal" gauge I have listings for in my Steel books. I could go measure my frame sometime if you are really interested. The thickness can vary due to metal forming operations also. You can also measure your own frame.

after repairing the frame of my 78 f-100 i'd say it's more like 11ga or 10 ga. just slightly thicker then 1/8"
i built a new rear half outta 3/16 and it's alot thicker then the orginal...
i used standard 4 inch by 4 inch angle steel. the steel itself was
scrap that was discarded by mason's on a building site. it purpose is
for door headers and such in a masonry constructed building. its about 1/8 thick,,, welded up real nice.
