Differential ?
I'm looking at an '04 F150. How can I tell what type and gear ratio the differential is? Is this info on a sticker somewhere of do I need to have the VIN decyphered.

I'm trying to verify that it has a 3.73 limited slip. I don't have access to the window sticker, it is used on a dealer lot. What should a tag on the rear differential say for a 3.73 limited slip, will it be in some sort of code? Any other ways to identify this?

Rich is right on. I crawled under mine and it is 3L73 and I do have the 3.73 with LS. The first 3 on the tag was partially covered by the bolt on the tag.
