gas tank question

Question gas tank question
hi my 88 f150 351w auto c6 trans supercab sb has two tanks i noticed the outer day after filling up both tanks,, i was useing the rear tank first i drove about 75-80 miles noticed the tank gage was over the full mark still so i switched tanks i found my fount tank read about a half a tank???? i do not understand whats happing please help.....

Sounds like your overflow lines are crossed. see other threads here related to dual tanks
