My 2004 F150 has recently been stalling periodically when slowing or stopping. The check engine light indicator came on after the first time this happened. I took it to be serviced and they recalibrated the system which in turn corrected the indicator light. After driving it for 4 days the same thing occurred--it stalled the light appeared. I took it back to be serviced and they cannot find anything wrong with the system. Has anyone heard of a similar situation? Is there anything I should suggest the servicing dept investigate?
My bronco which was a 94 had a bad idle air control valve and the same thing happened but on the new truck i'd really push the dealer to find out whats wrong thats def a safety issue

There have been several old posts on this. Mine was fixed with a PCM reflash; many have had to have components replaced. Your dealer should be able to find the TSB on it.
Hello
I have a 2004 FX4 scab and it was stalling, comming to a stop.Took it to the dealer a number of times for a fix. They re-programed the computer three times and it still stalled. The fourth time the engineers thought it was the tranny so the dealer ripped out the transmission and replaced the torqueconverter and it still stalled. The next trip in they replaced the throttle-body.So far so good,it run's fine.
I found that you could re-create the problem.Drive down an incline about 30-40 mph.,when it,s safe to do so flip the shift into nutral and watch the rpm needle fluctuate up and down untill it quit's. Then just start up in nutral and shift back into drive. With the new throttle-body ,the rpm is pretty solid.
When the engine did quit, all the instrument lights came on.
With all that has happened to the truck,I still love it.
I have a 200f fx4 screw that had the same problem. My dealer found a bad throttle sensor. After it was replaced I've had no problem. Hope you get yours fixed.
