Not a stupid question- internally, to GM, they're all GMC's. X88 is an interesting production control option- "conversion nameplate, Chevrolet" is what it signifies on the build sheet.
Maybe a stupid question, but I'm guessing for the sales comparisons, that Chevy and GMC are counted seperatly even though they are the same truck?
I read somewhere that GM and Chevy combined sell more trucks than all of the F-series combined. Technically though the F-Series truck sells more than the Silverado though. Lincoln will have another failed attempt at the truck market...which is essentially the F-150 caddy style. Oh wait - GM is Caddy...that is why all the Escalade parts are swappable onto my Z71.
Thanks as usual for the update PB. Do you have any vehciles left on your lot?
I don't think the Mark LT will be a failure. It's not meant to be a high volume seller, but I think they've already sold about as many LT's as they did the Blackwood in it's entire production run, and at the price they are bringing, with the few differences between the Lariat, you know that someone is making a ton of money on them.
The Mark LT isnt doing bad right now. AG4.0 is right, theyv'e sold about as much LT's as they did Blackwoods, and the LT has been just introduced. With Ford now offering these incentives, I dont think GM will be able to hold onto the truck sales they've been having. Ford posted the #1 all time sales record for July - somewhere around 127, 000 F-Series trucks. Ford is building momentum up, and it wont be long until GM is behind in sales again.

Never underestimate the power of marketing. The original Cadillac Seville was basically a re-engineered Chevy Nova... and it was hugely successful. I see LM has sold about 4000 Mark LT's YTD- I'll be sure to include them next month. GMC sells Denali pickups at a pretty fair clip- for about the same money.
AG4.0- the Bowtie side of the lot looks like a tornado hit it. If a customer wants a Tahoe or 'Burb, they're in luck. Otherwise, SOL. Ford's not doing shabbily either, but the hot sellers kind of surprise me. Outside of the obvious (SD's), Escapes and Freestars (big rebate=>poof!) went flying off of the lot, Rangers perked right up, and the same four stoopid Tauruses we've been looking at all model year went flying off of the lot in two days.
