1995 5.0 firing order

I was wondering if the 1995 302 platforms still used the stock early model 302 firing order or is it the "windsor" firing order?

I've got a 95 EEC-IV that I was hoping to use in my truck for a MAF conversion over the speed desnity system my 91 has now.

Any tips on wire harness changes to use the later model EEC? i.e. will I need a different injector harness, and I tie in the MAF connector and where?

Also, will the 95 MAF EEC for a 5.0 CORRECTLY power a 5.8 EFI windsor engine? I belive the 5.8's used 19lb injectors as well right?

Thanks

Get a good wiring diagram for the pinouts on the computers, and make sure they match for the MAF computer. You'll need a new injector harness as the MAF computers fire the injectors sequentially. I'm pretty sure the newer engines used the 351 firing order, so if you have the 302 firing order, you will need to swap the wires for injectors 3, 5 and 4,7. There shouldn't be any problem with a 5.0 computer running a 351 as long as the mass air meter calibration matches the injector size.

MAF engines do not fire injectors sequentially, they are still bank fired. Late 5.0 engines did use the same firing order as the 5.8. This was not introduced with MAF, it was with the roller cam.

The mass air computers did have sequential injection.

That's from Chilton's online manuals.

I looked at my service manual (Ford factory) and in '94 at least MAF only came with the 5.0 auto and is sequential. I was basing my answer on the 4.0 V-6 that had MAF and bank firing (all transmissions and all 50 states).

Surprising is that my brother's 2001 Crown vic 4.6 still has bank firing injectors, but it is the CNG engine.

That's interesting to know. I didn't know that about the 4 liters or the 4.6's.
