One of the things we see on the forum is how the front hubs and / or ESOF start failing on some vehicles. I have a new F350 4X4 on order w/ ESOF and would like to keep the problems at a minimum. (I have never had 4X4 before, BTW)
What hints do you 4x4 owners have to keep the hubs / 4X4 functioning in between those times you need 4X4? For example, my brother who has a 4x4 95 F250 suggests driving in 4X4 once a month for a block or so just to keep things lubricated. Since he started doing that, his hub problems went away.
Aerostar, thanks for the tip. I haven't heard that but it does make sense. I lock in my manual hubs in the old 74 F250 every so often for that purpose too. I will start that with my 05 ESOF.
