I need some advise of what cam to use. My truck is totally stock. It's a 77 f-250 with a 70's 460 tranplant and a AT. Would a comp xtreme (x427oh-11) be a good choice? or would that be to much? I want more torque, and HP to pull a trailer. Also I run a edelbrock 600cfm (1406) Thing is junk can't seem to get it set right. Any suggestions on a carb. would be appriciated also.
Thanks
I'm taking my truck into the shop wed. to have the carb tuned. hopefully they'll fix me up without draining my pocket. Any one have any feedback on the cam? Thanks
I would suggets calling Comp Cams and ask them. they have an 800 number just for this kind of question. I called them, told them what I have and what I want to do with it, ant they told me which cam would work best. Also answered every question I had about installing it. Great help!
Also, as mil1lion said, the big block forum is a huge help.
