Brake light relay question

I want to install a brake light relay. Where should I put it in line? Before brake switch, after, etc.?

Also is there a particular relay that I need to buy specifically for brake lights?

You would use the brake switch to trigger the relay on.

So I spose I should mount as close AFTER the brake switch as I can.

Is there a particular relay that I should be using?

Just curious why you want to do this? It will make turn signals almost impossible, unless you have separate bulbs for that?

As it turns out, it looks like I won't have to do this. I was having trouble with a breaker tripping. It turned out the breaker bar was wired incorrectly. Since the fix, no problems wth the tail light/brake light functioning as it should.

I was thinking that using a relay would create a better functioning brake light.

Had not thought about the turn signal. I don't have one installed yet, but will likely be doing that in the future, so the brake light relay would not have been a good idea.
