Hypertech III Programmer Feedback

Haven't seen alot of discussion from users of the Hypertech III programmer. I'm thinking of trying one on my '97 250 PSD, no mods. My barber recommended it, believe it or not. Any feedback from users would be appreciated. Looking for a little more towing power and mpg improvement.

By the way this place is great. Helped me figure out my CPS problem (intermittent stalling), how to replace it and where to get a good price. Thanks everyone.

I have been running the Hypertech III for about a year now on a '99 F250 and am very happy with it. I pull car trailers, 5th wheel, etc all the time and have little issues with EGT's. The only time I drop down from the +100 hp setting is if I am going to the mountains pulling my 14,000# 5er when I use the +70 range and rarely have to back off. I never run my EGT's past 1200 degrees as I want to get loads of miles out of this truck. I don't think it makes as much HP as some of the others, but it seems to be safe and adds a huge fun factor to driving it empty as a daily driver.

DO NOT RUN ANY CHIP OR TUNER WITHOUT A EGT GAGE! It is playing with fire!
