Can anyone tell me how to get the metal mounting tab out of the rear view mirror?
That time of year and the heat got it.
I don't see the normal set screw that the older vehicles had, and don't want to force the issue and break it. Its a 95 F-250
Thanks

I guess you mean the whole thing came off the windshield? If so you should try grabbing the mounting plate on the sides with a pair of channel locks and wiggle it left and right while you pull. There is a spring clip in there that can put up a good fight sometimes. Don't hold the mirror boot with any tools or put it in a vise as it will just squeeze it tighter on to the base. You could also try to get a flat screw driver in between the base and back edge of the boot and twist. That might pop it out. Good luck, Karl..
