I'm planning my mods and want to run something by all of you that have helped out so much this far:
1) The 3-gage A-pilar setup with EGT, Tranny, and Boost gages.
Thinking Auto Meter C2 with the LED setup.
2) 3.5" DP to 4" SS 304 performance exhaust. Mfg. to be determined
3) Already have the K&N FIPK air intake on the truck from the previous owner
4) Doing the CCV mod using a length of 3/4" hose, etc, etc.
5) Diablo Sport with the 85 horsepower setting
First question: I'm looking to get a package price the items 1, 2, and 5 above.
Any recomendations as to where to ask?
Second question: what risks do I have here with this set up, destroying my everyday driver?
My problem is once I break the seal and take the plung, I will be additicted to the power and won't know where to stop, until I blow it up.
I'm hoping that one of you can help me steer away from doing something stupid.
well i would say if you are addicted to making more power do yourself a favor and buy a flip chip. and it can always be reburnt later if you want.
those autometers are sweet!!!!!!!!!! i wish i had that kind of money for gauges!!!!!!!
There are several site sponsors that can help you with 1, 2, and 5.
A variety of gauges, exhaust systems and chip options are out there, shop around for the best equipment and pricing.
Autometer, MBRP and DP tuner come to mind.

What year is your truck? You should be fine as long as you don't have the PM rods. Those mods are very mild for these trucks. YES the power sickness runs wild. Check my mods and I still crave more. Water/Meth next and then possibly injectors, turbo, o-ringed heads, on, and on and on. Where will it end? I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!
It sounds like you have a similar truck down to the miles... Anyway it sounds like you are going to be fine with that setup. As long as you watch your gauges, you should be fine. EGT not to exceed 1250 for very long, tranny (I don't know) and make sure you cool back down to below 400 before you shut 'er down. I used my truck for an DD and never had any trouble. I actually have custom tuning and run it on 100HP most of the time. Have fun!
my mule is the same year with a similar setup... there's a couple of things you are missing... most importantly is the sonnax upgrade to the auto tranny if you have an auto... imo.. this mod is a must... also.. if you have the auto.. you will need to add a good sized cooler to the stock setup.. it is not enough especially if you are towing... one other note... you MAY find the 60hp/145trq setting on the diablo predator to be better as a daily driver.. i know i do... and no matter what tune you use.. WATCH YOUR EGTS...! they will climb alot faster than the stock tune.. no matter what exhaust you put on...! good luck... let us know how you make out..!

Johnny8, does the 60hp/145tq get better gas mileage then the stock tune? Or is it just a performance option that gets better gas mileage then the 100 or the 85 hp settings? I noticed it didn't say anything in the manual about actual mpgs.
"Generally" you'll get better mileage with a tuner after the honeymoon period. That's why I run mine on 100HP. I made it make sense in that the truck has to do less work because it's running more efficiently to get the same results, whether that be getting on the highway or just whatever. If you're easy on the throttle most of the time, you could see a couple MPG's!
