Keyless Entry Code for 05 F-350

Is there ANY way to get the code without having to pay the dealer $90.00? I just bought an 05 F-350 with 4000 miles and the previous owner didn't have the card with the code in the truck.

Find your salesman and discuss with him locating the code......

Or just reprogram the code to one of your choice.

I bought the truck from an individual.

How can I reprogram the code if I don't have the factory code? That's the one I need.

The owners manual says the code is 'available' from your dealer. Hard to believe they are asking for 90.00 when you just bought it from them. I would call FMC if you can't get any help from the dealer you bought it from.
Good luck.

Oops, just saw your latest post that you bought it from an individual.

Now I don't know what to suggest.....except maybe still call FMC.

Have the original owner talk to the dealership where they purchased the truck. Maybe he/she can get it from them for free (or reduced price).

I woulda deducted the 90 bucks from the purchase price, but I suppose that is water under the bridge at this point.
I don't think a new pad is too much more than the cost of finding the old code, is it?

Just to let you know, I bought a 05, and it was a dealer trade, it didn't have the card either. On 05's on up, the dealer can't just bring up those codes on the computer, they have to have their Tech hook up an analyzer to get the code out. The dealer charged it as a no cost repair.

According to my owners manaul (05 F350) you can program in your own code I believe. The original one is still there and works; but so does your personnel code. Check in your manual for the instructions. Hope this saves ya the $90!

In order to reprogramm the code, you must have the factory installed code. That is the one I don't have.

That code should be on a sticker somewhere inside your truck. Look around. It will be in a weird place. It seems like the "Sticker Idiots" at the plant just places them where they want too. I would look around the left rear door post pillar, near the trim panel at the latch. It may be behind it.

I have looked everywhere for mine, but cannot find it. It is hard for me to believe that the dealer won't pull the code on an '05 for free. The process shouldn't take a tech that is good with the WDS much more than 10 minutes.

the code is printed on a card that is with the owners packet, try looking through all of the paperwork you got with the truck

The code is suppose to be on the alarm module also. The module is usually and the drivers side just under the dash.
