Stuck in Nuetral!

Stuck in Nuetral!
After getting stuck last nite in the back yard, I put my 97 F350 PSD into 4 High to get out (manual transmission). It needed more low end so i decided to put the truck in 4 Low. The low range light came on and now the truck is stuck in nuetral and it will not go back in to 4high or 2high. I also broke off the shift lever where it bolts on to the transfer case (I ordered a new one).. How do I get myself back in to gear?

I just had my transfer case apart on my '99. If you broke the lever off I think you are going to have to take the transfer case apart and replace the actuator inside. It's easier than it sounds. But you need some spreaders and c-clip removal tools to get the job done.

I got the truck back into 2 wheel..........i had to tap on the shift lever on the transfer case while the truck was rolling. But I did get it into gear. Now I have to find a shift lever. The dealership wants $200 or more...........i will keep looking.
The actuator is in the transfer case? How much money does one of those run?

The lever that goes into the transfer case is ok. Where the shift lever goes down through the floor, part of the shift lever bolts on to the transfer case for a pivot point to shift into 4 wheel drive. That part broke, so I can still shift into 4 wheel manually, except for 4 low (it will lock in nuetral) Hope that helps you out. Thanks
