Today I started to lower my rear end.I'm going to flip the axles.
I have 5 main springs and 3 over loads.Any advice on which springs to remove for a smooth ride?

lose the overload springs and flip it. are you c-notching? how low are you going?
I did the flip and c-notch I sit real low but the ride is worth it to me.
Robert, can you get some pictuers of the rear springs and the C notch. My first time doing this. What about the shocks,do you know what was used? I assume they must be shorter than stock. What a great steering wheel.I'll be looking for something like yours.Know where any F100 SABER jets are parked? A really sweet truck. Thanks Larry
I have some pics of my c-notch in my flairside gallery. Not the same truck but you get the picture. I just welded a new perch on the underside of the axle, you can buy them at most hot rod shops. and cut the old one off. then unhooked one side of each leaf spring and slid the axle in over top. Make sure you mount the new perch to give the same pinion angle as the old. I replaced my ubolts and made them a little longer in case I want to add blocks and go lower.
66mercman,Thank You for the picture it will be a great help when I start cutting.I see you have 4 projects,if you get a chance I would like to see your finished trucks.I get most of my ideas from the Pro's.I printed the pic out. Thanks Again Larry
