Manuals on CD's
Has anyone bought the CD manual from JC Whitney? How useful was it?
How about the Chilton's Total Care Manuals also sold by JC Whitney? Was it useful or a waste of money?

The printing in the Chilton's manual is very poor; the preventive maintemance schedules on page 1-51 are unreadable and other pages are very light so I just may send it back.
The CD-ROM covers 76-00 pick-ups and Broncos. However you are licensed to use only one year and model. My '88 F150 is all I can use without buying another license.
So while the data for my '99 Ranger is on the disk I can't access it - on this computer. And that's not what I expected. When you buy the Chilton's or Motors truck and car manuals, you get all of the years. So I installed it on my old computer and there I have the '99 Ranger data. I do have to move the CD between the two computers though.
