I have a '99 F250 2wd V10. While changing the oil for the first time yesterday, I noticed something strange on the front I-beam arms. Under the spring perch about 4 inches, there is a 1 inch diameter "pin" that is sticking out. Is this normal? Should these be tapped back in? Is the front end about to collapse? I can take a picture if it would help. Thanks.
With out seeing it I would guess it is the steering stop pin and it is normal for it to be sticking out. Have someone cut the wheels all the way to one side and see if it hits the steering knuckle.
