I have a 03 350/auto and the other night i noticed the o/d botton began to flash and was shifting real hard and it didnt seem to want to go into o/d. So after i stopped and turned it off and back on it stopped flashing but would hang in gear and still not want to go into o/d. The next morning i went to leave my house and i had no reverse but drive and all the other gears worked. No change in temp of tranny and no slipping converter. What do yall think it could be...Converter? Sylenoid?....TIA.....
The truck has 22.5 acloas and 385/65/22.5 tires if this helps......

I don't have much automatic knowledge so I'm only able to offer limited advice. I've read posts about the speed senser going out on the differential, chafed wiring harness where it goes across the top of the transmission as possible causes of the symtoms that you describe.
The only way to know what's going on is to take it to a shop and have it diagnosed. Speed sensor can cause hard and erratic shifting, if it's not going into gear there is likely something else wrong. Only way to know is to have it diagnosed.
Do you have a tranny temp guage? When mine was going out, I got the OD light flashing (which is like a check engine light for the tranny, meaning there is a code present) and the trans temps were higher because of slipping in the trans.
There are some good threads around here about tranny rebuilds.
Well I hate to be the one that has an answer but here goes.
Last Saturday I was towing my 67 Bronco to run the Rubicon and made it from Everett WA to Medford OR and everything was good and I was topping off. Back on the freeway and the 02 F350 would not up shift, so I was going 3K RPM's and 50 MPH, and the OD light was flashing.
I screwed with it for a bit and bit the bullet and took it to the stealership and it was $2203.09. the converter ate itself and then thrust washers and solenoids and so on.
Hate to be the one to tell you but I would bet that it ate the converter at the least.
On a good note I did what any responsible adult would and drove the Bronco and picked up the truck on the way home
I just dont understand why it wont go into reverse but it will go into every other gear. It only flashed for like a few min then that was it. It wasnt slipping at all. But who knows, i dont see why it would be in o/d and be 500rpms different.
I am by no means an auto expert but the 500 rpm difference could be from the valve body or the torque converter slipping / binding.
Call a good local trany shop and ask them what they think, also look at the fluid and see if it looks or smells burnt and if you want to dive into it pull the pan and look at the magnet and filter to see if there are any signs of trouble.
