When you say you have smoke out of the dipstick tube, do you mean when the dipstick is in it?
Probably just normal blow by, but.....
There is a CDR valve on the back of the intake throat under the air cleaner. It is held on by two bolts and has a tube that goes down into a grommet in the valley pan. The CDR is the same thing as a PVC valve on a gas motor. They should be cleaned out every couple of oil changes so they don't get gunked up with oil deposits.
I take mine off the engine and drop it in a coffee can with enough gasoline to cover it completely. Let it soak for an hour or two. Then take it out and hold you fingers over the two open lines with some gas still in it, but not clear full. Shake it around and drain the gas back in the can. Repeat this a couple of times. Then drain all the gas back in the can and lay it out to dry out. DO NOT BLOW COMPESSED AIR INTO THE CDR. There is a diaphram that will be ruptured and ruin the CDR. After it is dried out, reinstall it.
hey thanks for the info about the blow-by.one more question my oil pressure some mornings it is high and some it is low when the truck has been running all day at 190 temp the oil pressure is real low i was wandering what it could be by the way it is a rool back tow truck thanks
