sliding rear window

Does anyone know if they make a sliding rear window for our trucks? I have a
' 64, but I would think they would same for 61-66.

I have 2 of them. Try your local Auto glass shop to see if they can still order them. I got one that way the other came in a parts truck.

Some auto parts stores can get them, too. I seem to remember that most full sized Chevies (61-66, 67-72, 73-85) were the same and full sized Fords (61-66, 67-74, 75-85/6) were the same. That is, there were about 6 part numbers for all American trucks made between 1960 and 1986.

The LMC catalog lists the 61-66 as part #49-6816 and it sells for $99.95 (as of the printing I'm looking at). It is clear and they don't seem to make a tinted version. No idea if they have it in stock, but they also sell the rubber for about $30. My NPD catalog shows the same price but a different number. Probably other places will carry one a well.

Thanks for all the help, I looked in LMC a couple months ago and couldn't find one for our years.

Funny you should ask. I just received mine today from LMC for my '62, along with a ton of other goodies. They only have clear glass for some reason, while for other years offer tinted as well. Now if I just had a finished truck to install it in.

I think that (home work) on this subject can really pay off! Because there are
some real UGLY sliding back glasses out there for our trucks, I'm not sure if
they still make the ones that look like they belong in a 1960 camper or not.
I saw one in a real nice slick at the truck show in lake lure N.C. and it fit really
good I ask the guy were he got it he said that he had got at a parts store
and I look every where for a brand name but could not fine one! So I'm saying
look at all the different one and pick a nice one and you want be looking for
another one later down the road!

P.s I got a biz card form a man at a truck show in Tenn. I did not see his
sliding back glasses but he said they " Make some real nice ones" I think I
remember him saying that they use ( Carlite ) glass!

The company is : WEST PADUCAH GLASS CO., INC.

There in KY
