Ranger bellhousing swap? Need help!
I have a 1991 Ranger 4x4 with 2.9L and locked-up 5-speeed tranny (FM146 Mitsubishi).
Someone is selling an '88 4x4 5-speed tranny but cannot tell me whether it is a Mazda or Mitsubishi....(FM 145 or FM146) No tag
They DID tell me they thought that the 4 cyl and 6 cyl trannys were the same that year except for the bellhousing, which you could switch.
Anybody know for sure??? THANKS !!!!!!
