adding clearence lights

Well, my fiancee bought herself a 2001 F-250 diesel but we didnt notice till we got home that it didnt have clearence lights on the cab. We both like the look of the lights on the truck and i want to put them on for her. I am wondering if anyone knows if when the truck doesnt come with the lights stock are the wires still in the cab for hookup? Seems to me that they would, just want to know for sure.

they only come stock on dually's I think because of the width but you can add them and no the wiring harness is not up there that I'm aware of but it can be added with out a problem. Oem runs about $60-$70 and aftermarket runs about $50 and are close I think to looking oem but they are not. Hope this helps.

f350xlt460: I dont believe the harness is in the cab, you can purchase the whole hookup from ford at a pretty reasonable price. Look this >>SITE HERE<< over and it gives really great instructions for installing the lights.

Hope this helps,

Here's a great site with instructions to follow: http://www.emotoman.com/f250/lights/f250lights.htm

EDIT - looks like streetcruizer already posted the link. Looks like you've got two recommendations to use that site, now.

Yeah, DRW's require them, I believe.

You can order the truck with them, so there are SRW trucks running around with them, stock.

Whew! No whiners about "why do you want those - just to look cool?" ... maybe they've all gone away...

Or maybe this isn't a topic for them to chime in about at least for now.
