22.5" wheels

Here in South Florida there are a bunch of guys running around in their diesel drw trucks with 19.5 and 22.5" wheels. I know there are some companies out there that have a conversion to run the big rig wheels on a pick-up. I want to run 22.5's on my srw. Anyone have any experience with this? I can only find one web-site: http://www.ricksontruck.com/wheels_ford_srw.html. Thanks for any info.

Here is what I want: http://www.chromewheel.com/gallerypages/tirewheel.htm. The 22.5 wheels on the 22.5 rims. It looks like they are putting 22" tires on 22.5" rims also. I know that's no good, and that's not what I'm after.

Just curious, why you wanna go so big on wheels? The only reason why I would go that big is because I can put semi-truck tires on those wheels and run over 100,000 miles per tire set

If you run Semi Truck tire what is the over all OD on this tire and will they clear I use to drive a big truck that weight much more than you PU you going to have a rough ride.
The big rig truck tire are made for a heavy truck pull a heavy load.

The over all diameter of the tire is around 37". They claim this will fit with just a leveling kit because the tire is so narrow. The reasons for this... Well, first is the look. second, 99.9% of my miles are on the highway. these tires get over 100,000 miles from a set. I know the ride will be slightly harsher, but from the research I've done, not much. The tire selection and availability for 22.5 and 19.5" rims is great too.

If I could find a tall narrow tire for my stock 17" rim, I would do it in a heartbeat first.

ive talked to some guys who run 22" tires on those rims, they said they lathe, 1/4" off the inner bead rings to make them a perfect bead for 22" tires.. they dont just slap 22" tires on the wheels, they would not bead. You would need to find a machine shop that custom builds wheels to have them shave your 22.5"s to run 22" tires

From: Fort. Lauderdale FL,
I am down here in miami and thats what they are doing to fit the street tires on.. They are taking 22.5in wheels and machining them down to 22in. The trucks look really good. About the srw application i asked for mine...and they said that the only one this store could find was a wheel that was way to wide and the tires would be something near the size of a dump truck steer wheel..They had a truck there at the shop with it but they said that it required about 10in of lift to clear that dump truck tire.... If i had a drw i would have had them the min i could but the srw naaa its not the same it looks kinda like a pig on wheels....

That's what I'm looking for. I can't find them on Michelin's web-site though. Tirerack doesn't have a picture.
