Thanks for the info,the ID tag on the valve cover and the VIN # researched through the Ford Motor company all point towards the 390.

Emissions on a 76 Ford
I have a 1976 Ford F150 it has the 390 motor and motorcraft 2150 2 barrel carb.Iam restoring the truck all original but Iam missing the EGR valve. I do not know the O.E. stamping # for this truck.Does anyone have the same year truck and carb?
Or can anyone guide me in finding the part number ?

Motorcraft CX-29,CX-51,CX-27
But my guess is this one > CX-57
Tell me where you think this part goes please
What makes you think it's an 390 instead of a 360 ?

Emissions on a 76 Ford
The EGR valve is located behind the carb.It bolts to the carb mounting plate.The number will start with a letter D and ends letter . It is also located on the side of the valve.Thanks.Lionsfn.

The Original part will have a stamping number.
That isn't the part number.
The number I gave you is the Motorcraft replacement number for the EGR valve.
The original Part number for a the DX-57 was
D6TE-90475A1A or A2A
Which has a truck designation
The DX-51 was originally
D6AE-90475B1A or B2A
Was for a Ford Car.

Someone told me that if your truck/car is 25 yrs or older you dont have to test emitions? Is this true?
