I have an idea that that could possibley work.Put a 428 or 410 in a76 chevy one ton dually.Maybe if i use plain tins with no lettering like the ones on FT motors and paint the motor oldsmobile blue with an air cleaner from a 455.
I think i could pull a fast one on the chevy guys.
A friend of mine in Oregon put a 49-53 stroker Ford flathead in a late 60's Camaro and drag raced it here in Oregon. The kids would look at it at the drags and ask him what it was and he always replied "Chevy's experimental underhead valve motor". He got a lot of laughs with that setup. He blew the doors off many a Chevelle with a 396 installed.

There are two old Camaros (68-69?) in Bend Oregon that have Ford 428's in them. My buddy up in Bend told me about them. I thought that was way cool (or should I say about time) Where do you live U_B_LO. I'm in Klamath Falls!
I've seriously considered putting the Fe446 in one of my other projects. namey the 62 Cheby 1/2 Tone STepside my Grandpa gave me. Just because you see so many old fords with a 350 in them, it would neat to build one the other way.
Been there done that. When I was a kid we had a friend with a chevy farm truck...it was maybe a 1 ton...a dually. It had a straight 6 in it and he wanted more power. We put a 460 C6 in it. That thing would sure lite those dually's up....LOL. I've participated in a lot of crazy stuff like that. I had a 68 Datsun pickup once...had a very small 4 cylinder. That was a really small truck and had a low gear. The engine compartment wasn't very big. I put a v6/ C4 combination out of a mercury capri. That was the narrow v6....60 degree??? With the low gear on the rear end that thing would spin tires forever...LOL. I had to cut the hood and put a scoop because the engine was so tall in it. I've learned my lesson though....keep the ford engines in the ford vehicles...it's just not right any other way.
