[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Dec-02 AT 10:49 PM (EST)]my truck sits with its butt in the air, its good for towing i know and hauling a lot but i rarely if ever do anything that would cause my truck to sit level. but i want to raise the front of my truck just enough to level it. i think about a 2 inch lift in the front would be just about right. i was told that E-250 springs are longer and would work but i am not sure. do i have to get a set of specical springs or can i just use the E-250 srpings? i dont know of anyone that makes the front springs for a 2wd unless they are for an F150 or custom. i am putting my truck in the garage for a while so i will have plenty of time to work on it. its not thats its cold here, but i dont want anything to happen to it since it just got painted and i wont always be around to drive it. but the spring issue is one i want to figure out so maybe i could do it ovewr the holiday break. just thought of something else, what if front springs from a later generation truck will work? say from a 1980 or newer? i can find lifted springs for 2wd f250s for those years but not 73-79. thanx!!

Changing the ride height of these TIB trucks changes the suspension geometry drasticly. Good luck on finding a company that produces anything for a TIB 73-9 Truck.
Thanks for using FTE!

Hope you don't mind - just thought I'd piggy-back on this thread - I am looking for info on Front Springs as well, but I plan to stay stock with my 79 F-150 2WD.
Suggestions for brand or things I should be aware of when looking to purchase an/or do I really need new ones? (I am planning on replacing the shocks and assume that this would be a good time to think about the springs)
Keep it Rubber Side Down!
i replaced mine on a 79,2w/d,got them at my local parts store, they were a heavey duty spring, they went on with no problems and lifted the truck up maybe 2 inch.can;t remember the brand but they were 80.00 for the pair.i mostly got that lift because the springs that were in there were shot.
my only problem is i already have heady duty springs on there, i have he 460 with ac so i am assuming that those are the heaviest springs for my truck?? i just want some that are around 2 inches longer so my trck will sit level. should i just contact a local spring maker or what? will lift springs from an 80 f250 work?? or should i try the E-250 idea.
