I always yelled at my little brother for slamming my doors. I'd tell him, "Alex, this isn't a chevy, there is no need to SLAM the door!".... It worked amazingly enough... After about the eighth time of me proving it..
Im with PFogle. Whenever I have someone that normally drives Chevys with me I really watch em. It seems like every Chevy truck ive ever rode in I had to slam the door just to get it closed, while my 150's doors still close with ease. Ive even had people compliment me on them.
People at work get the doors and just SLAM them shut. Mostly my brothers are the ones that do it. I keep telling them but they don't get it. Maybe I need to park the truck on top of them and let the truck have it's way with them!

Good one.
I understand this is exactly what Chevy owners say about Ford guys. Or was that Dodge owners about GMC and Ford owners?
The first thing the instructor taught us in drivers education was how to close doors not slam them, and Ive stuck with it ever since then, I cant stand to hear one slam anymore.
Once upon a time we had an izuzu, which had many GM parts on it, motor everything had GM writting on it, you mkight know its cousin the honda passport, ne ways the doors where light but didnt latch good so you would haft slam em. You cant really slam my f150s doors there full of tools and crap so there heavy, someone slammed the driver side door so somthing inside of it rattles until you lock the doors then it goes away.
The doors on my 85' close like my grandpa's Mercades' doors. I prefer the nice quiet click of the latch myself.
My mom will actually put effort into slamming my door, i asked "Mom why are you slamming my door?" she said" Cause it's an old junk truck and they don't shut right" That ticks me off, cause first of all the truck's pain is still glossy and it's in excelent shape, it's not junky. And the doors close with one finger, compliments on me realigning them cause the pass. door wouldn't close right so i went ahead and did both sides.
My girlfriend she's a sweety, first time she closed it kinda hard, and i said, "babe it ain't your daddy's dodge, the doors work like they're supposed to". She said," I'm sorry, it's just habit, I won't do it again" and she hasn't. Gotta love a smart girl huh?
One time when My dad was letting a friend Borrow his Truck A 85 Ford F150 SO he could take some stuff out TO the DUmp cuz He didnt want Hes 2001 Dodge TO get dirty and Cuz It was a SHort Box So We trade and My little Brother Jumps In and Starts TO slame THe door When My dad says BE carfull Remember This Is A Dodge The door Might FAll Off Close IT gently
My GF's dad's dodge is like that, the only good part of it is the Cummins under the hood. I swear i can yell at it if i jump in it, when i go to start it the buzzer will stay on. Only if i yell at it though, so i have to get out and start over again.
One time her uncle was cursin' at it the driveshaft fell out.
I didn't think that's supposed to happen on an 03'
